About

In 2003, after 30 years as a published researcher, geoscientist, and international consultant, our CEO Kim-Marie Walker, established onyx communications to meet the needs of agencies requiring technical writing services.

Our first contract with the State of Alaska Department of Natural Resources, producing in-house procedure manuals, led to winning additional long-term contracts with other state and federal agencies.

We are currently located in the 'Twin Cities' of St. Paul - Minneapolis, Minnesota. Our services are nationwide.

We provide expertise that efficiently combines text formatting and graphic design tools with other information technologies. We produce documents and manuals for print and/or interactive computer use.

Our goal is to improve a document's readability and comprehension for: submittal to technical journals and grantors; increasing office productivity/training ease; academic success; and for documenting the in-house expertise behind procedure implementation.

Our Publisher's Role

In 2005, onyx communications published Kim-Marie's wellness cd 'Sanctuary'; in 2007, a memoir, 'Zebras from Heaven'. Stay tuned for more nonfiction and fiction works. Visit  www.kimmariewalker.com for more information.
